Reverend Sharon K. Dittmar is a native Ohioan, and graduate of the University of Massachusetts (BA) and Harvard Divinity School (MDiv). She served for 18 years as the Minister of First Unitarian Church of Cincinnati (Ohio). During her time in ministry Reverend Dittmar was known for her preaching, humor, and social justice work. Today she works as a Congregational Life Consultant for the MidAmerica Region of the Unitarian Universalist Association, advising over 180 congregations in a 13 state Region. She is a graduate of Leadership Cincinnati (Class 35) and of Parker Palmer’s Center for Courage and Renewal Academy for Leaders. She is married, and has a son, stepchildren, and grandchildren. Mass incarceration is an issue that has affected her both professionally and personally. She is grateful to serve on the OJPC Board.
