As you know, OJPC works closely with people in search of a fresh start and a second chance after a touch with the criminal justice system.
Most often, our clients experience hardship because of their criminal records. And, just as often, that criminal record was the byproduct of the disease of addiction.
Rather than watch a vicious cycle continue to ruin lives in our state, we decided to do something about it.
Together, with a bipartisan group of nonprofits, activists, social workers, law enforcement professionals and people in recovery, we started the Safe & Healthy Ohio campaign.
People from every county in the Buckeye State petitioned to get the Neighborhood Safety, Drug Treatment and Rehabilitation Amendment on the Nov. 2018 ballot.
As part of this campaign, OJPC has contributed its legal expertise and decades of experience serving clients with histories of addiction.
