SUSAN WHEATLEY, SECRETARY
Susan is a partner in the law firm of Taft, Stettinius, and Hollister’s and co-chair of its Private Client Practice Group. In addition, she is the co-chair of the firm’s Family Business Planning Practice and has experience planning the succession of numerous family businesses. Susan received her B.A. in history in 1982 from Yale University and her J.D. in 1986 from Northwestern University School of Law, where she served on the Northwestern University Law Review. Susan is certified by the Ohio State Bar Association Specialty Board as a specialist in Estate Planning, Trust and Probate Law and is past president of the Cincinnati Estate Planning Council and past chair of the Estate Planning and Probate Committee of the Cincinnati Bar Association. She has taught estate planning as an adjunct professor of law at the University Of Cincinnati College Of Law.
Susan previously served on the board of directors and as the treasurer of the Mercantile Library in Cincinnati, and she was a member of the 2006-2007 class of the Leadership Cincinnati training program conducted by the Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber. She is listed as an Ohio Super Lawyer by Cincinnati Magazine and is listed in the 2008 through 2012 editions of The Best Lawyers in America. Susan is also a member of Taft’s Professional Women’s Resource Group (PWRG).
