October 22, 2015 – David Singleton testified this week to the Ohio Senate on Senate Bill 162, which would exempt people with serious mental illness from the death penalty. David’s testimony focused on OJPC’s newly released policy paper, “Serious Mental Illness and the Death Penalty.” The paper provides in-depth legal support for why current protections for people with serious mental illness are inadequate and why SB 162 is a solution.
